Dr. Stacey Byers is a large animal internal medicine resident specializing in camelids. She graduated from WSU with her DVM in 2005 and was the agriculture animal intern before beginning her residency in 2006.
She is interested in neonatal care and infectious diseases and is concurrently working on her masters degree with a project studying transmission of BVDV in alpacas.
Dr. Byers’ residency is unique in that funding is provided entirely by donations from various camelid owners, organizations(including AAWW), and events.
